About Us

  • The association is run by and for students across North Metropolitan TAFE campuses. Each year ten students are elected to form a council representing student interests. They select office bearers to administer the association day-to-day.

  • Both financial and ordinary members can vote and run in the elections. However, the association may give additional benefits to financial members. As a non-profit organisation, we rely on funding from our members to provide services and representation.

  • In accordance with college by-laws the NMTSA aims to:

    > further the common interest of the enrolled students;

    > provide for and encourage communication amongst enrolled students in matters of common interest;

    > provide extracurricular activities for the general well-being of enrolled students;

    > represent enrolled students whenever such representation is necessary or desirable and provide the recognised means of communication between students and the college;

    > co-operate or affiliate with any body or organisation having kindred aims;

    > promote the good of the college for the benefit of enrolled students.

  • You can contact the NMTSA through the President's email at president@nmtsa.au
